Urban Brew Studio’s new facility at Brightwater Commons played host to Wild & Marr’s Studio Showcase on 27 February. The keynote speaker, Lorenzo Sassi from DirectOut Technologies delivered a solution driven presentation, answering questions of where the studio industry is now and where it is heading. Globcon, a free, global control software platform by DirectOut formed a part of the presentation.
Leading global brands such as Shure, Soundcraft, JBL, TASCAM, AVID, RTW, RME and DirectOut Technologies teamed up with Wild & Marr to showcase their products.
Urban Rhythm Factory (housed within the Urban Brew facility) opened their world-class studios for a demonstration hosted by Barry Kasaab from Shure which saw popular local band Black Harbour get miked up for a before and after recording of instrument miking best practices and techniques.
Many of the integrators, students, sound engineers and studio experts were amazed by what Wild & Marr had to offer their market.
