This week, the mother city played host to Soundcraft Training. Wild & Marr opened it’s doors to students from Cape Audio College, School of Audio Engineering (SAE), Academy of Sound Engineering (ASE) for a workshop presented by Soundcraft Ambassador and experienced monitor engineer, Gabriel Le Roux. The workshop allowed for the students to gain exposure to the Soundcraft Vi2000 mixing console and receive a hands-on learning experience. The second and final day saw sound engineers from cape based organizations sit in on an intermediate operators training which boosted their knowledge and allowed them to interact with the console.
“Majority of the attendees have not been previously exposed the Vi console and this presented them with the opportunity to get their hands on the console. Both days of training were well attended and received.” surmised Gabriel Le Roux
