Kramerville based Icons Shop hosted their first expo titled Worship Wise Tech Expo over Friday and Saturday (4-5 October 2019). True to the name, the event appealed to local houses of worship of all sizes. Over the two days, Soundcraft, JBL and Crown featured strongly, and their technical experts were there to advise church-based AV technicians and pastors on the latest technological trends as well as showcase the latest products available.
The new JBL VTX A8 makes every seat in church a sweet spot, the tight 110-degree dispersion pattern down to 350Hz makes the cabinet ideal for small to medium sized churches. The VTX B18 subwoofer takes advantage of JBL’s 4th gen differential drive technology enabling the woofer to deliver ultra-low distortion, higher output and extra-long excursion. Both VTX A8 & B18 combined with Crown IT 4x3500HD amplifiers and JBL Performance Manager software makes this the ideal PA System to deliver incredible intelligibility of the spoken word and powerful worship experiences felt by the entire congregation.
The Soundcraft stand led by brand ambassador Gabriel Le Roux showcased a product in each of Soundcraft’s ranges, The Soundcraft Ui24R is controlled via one’s electronic device whether it be iOS, Android, Windows or Mac OS based. This is achieved through on-board Wi-Fi. The Si Performer is a 16-fader mixing console meant for smaller applications. The Vi 2000 is a 28-fader digital mixing console meant for larger applications.
“We were impressed with the quality of people that visited us at the expo. We are excited to be involved with upcoming medium to large-sized projects.” commented Cliff Janit, owner of Icons Shop
